I was brought up in Northumberland in the UK and now live locally with my daughter and pets. I am not formally trained and have learnt my craft ‘on the job’ through a series of inspirations and happy accidents.
I am fascinated by the textures and colours of the Northumberland countryside and coastline and much of my work is a semi-abstract impression of this unique scenery. I also paint from a spiritual perspective at times, which you will see from the ‘Spiritual’ gallery in the Portfolio section of this site.
My work features in many private collections, both in the UK, Europe and in the USA. Having only taken up professional painting in 2009, my work is receiving more exposure each year. I have also featured in gallery exhibitions in some of the North of England’s best known art spaces as well as further afield, including recently London and Switzerland.
I have a studio, gallery and craft centre in Morpeth where I also run workshops. I am available for private commissions and I’m always happy to discuss my work.
